S&P Consultants, Inc. has become the vendor of choice for data conversions into and out of the Cerner clinical data system.
Over the years, we have developed multiple utilities and programs to convert the data in a very efficient manner, allowing the client to focus on the validation process, S&P does the rest
At S&P, we use a team approach on each data conversion project. S&P's Data Conversion team consists of experts in each of the Cerner applications/modules - Anatomic Pathology, Blood Bank, Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacy and Radiology. S&P also has staff experienced in other HIS/LIS systems. This allows us to dedicate an expert to the data extraction, data mapping, programming, testing and validation process of your data conversion project. Our goal is to assist you in meeting your organizational project goals by reducing the normal data conversion project timeframe from eight to ten months to four to six months.
Data Conversion Services
- Cerner HNAC© data conversions to foreign sytems
- Cerner to Cerner uploads (HNAC to HNAC or HNAC to HNAM©)
- Cerner HNACand HNAM uploads from foreign systems
- Cerner HNAC data extracts to various databases (daily, monthly, historical)
- Data extracts from non-Cerner systems
We have also converted Cerner Classic© data into custom data bases we have designed and developed using Access or Oracle. With our vast knowledge of the Cerner Classic system we are able to extract data from on-line and archived media (disk, tape and optical disk). Archived data is a little more involved - it involves restoring or retrieving the data and bringing it back on-line before the data can be extracted. S&P is the only vendor that has developed a product to retrieve optical disk data (platter by platter) and restore it back to the on-line Cerner Classic system.
S&P Consultants, Inc. can extract data from the Cerner Classic system or Non-Cerner systems and convert it into a file format to be uploaded into a custom database or hospital data repository. We can create and/or extract files on a daily, monthly, or one-time only basis dependent on your specific needs.
