S&P Consultants honored as one of the top national employers in healthcare by Becker’s Hospital Review

Named to 2017’s “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare”

CHICAGO—S&P Consultants has been selected by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of 2017’s “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare,” a top honor within the healthcare industry. The list, released each spring, recognizes organizations committed to fulfilling missions, creating outstanding cultures and offering competitive benefits to their employees.

Since its founding, S&P Consultants has maintained a “family-centered culture” in its hiring and team-building. Cofounders Andrew Splitz and Steve Pratt deliberately structured the company around an explicit set of core values, that include; integrity, innovation, a focus on clients, and quality outcomes.

Splitz credits these values as contributing to S&P’s reputation both as a vendor—and as an employer.  “We’re honored to receive this recognition as a great place to work.  We’ve built a culture of high standards, strong ethics, and a sense of family, and are proud of how these values translate to our work with clients. It’s very gratifying to be recognized within the industry for these efforts,” Splitz said.

Additional qualities that helped single-out S&P as an employer include management’s long-standing “Open Door” policy, a strong professional development program and a commitment to promoting people from within the company. S&P provides competitive pay and benefits programs for employees, including a generous retirement plan and four-week paid sabbatical.  The company promotes “flexibility and work/life balance” in their recruitment literature, which factored into their selection for the Becker’s list, along with a commitment to building a diverse workforce.

“We take pride in our ability to attract and retain a diverse workforce and endeavor to increase our level of diversity as we continue to grow,” said Splitz.

News of the honor comes at a great time for S&P Consultants, as they are in the process of significant staff expansion due to record growth over the past year.
