Chief Medical Information Officer
Michael brings a physician’s expertise and in-depth specialization to his role as Chief Medical Information Officer.
Michael has worked directly with S&P clients since 2013, specifically physicians and the executive teams, to design, build, and optimize systems to fix those gaps and meet the clients’ needs. His overall goal in the industry is to ease clinician burden where possible and deliver a safe, meaningful and patient-centric medical record. He is a member of various committees and councils at multiple client sites, including Interdisciplinary Clinical Advisory Councils, Physician Advisory Councils, and Medical Executive Committees.
Prior to joining the team at S&P, Michael did his residency training in anesthesiology. He also served as a staff scientist in the research department at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, where he published multiple articles in peer reviewed journals. He then moved into a Clinical Strategist role with the IT department and played an integral part in all clinical system projects and implementations.
Michael graduated from Northeast Ohio Medical University’s six-year BS/MD program. He is an active member in both HIMSS and AMDIS.
